Made it to the Etsy Homepage!!

I can’t believe it!  I finally made it onto the homepage of Etsy.com with my Black & White Ebony Fountain Pen.  I must have finally gotten the right combination for my photos.

Lignum Vitae Bowl

I love this little bowl / chalice! It is very heavy for it's size weighing in at almost 7 ounces (or 195 grams) yet it is only 3 inches tall and 3 1/8 inches wide at the opening.

It sits on a tiny little base that is only about 1/16 inch tall and 1 inch wide.

The Lignum Vitae wood is a pale yellow color with great figure and several knot areas that have made interesting patterns in the finished piece. The bowl also has a little hole that passes all the way through one side of the bowl that was a natural fissure in the wood.

My first Etsy Treasury listing

Thanks to Sewelsonwoodcraft for the plug in his new treasury "Awesome is the word." My "Dakota Burl" cigar pen is part of the collection of very fine handcrafted items.

Dakota Burl is a very unique material to turn. It is a "green" material consisting of compressed and glued Sunflower Seed Hulls. Every time I show this pen off no one can believe what it is made from.
